Step 1. ok let start you get bread board and adding your 555 chip to the top of your bread board between the hole row
Step 2. now run a wire from pin 1 to ground that the black rail (line) and run a wire from pin 8 to the + red rail (line) on your bread board

Step 3. now take a jump from pin 2 to pin 6

Step 4. now run a wire from 4 to the + red rail (line) on your bread board

Step 5. now take a wire from pin 3 to a row out the way

Step 6. now take one your 2.2k resistor and jump it from pin 2 to pin 7

Step 7. now take your over 2.2k resistor from pin 7 + red rail (line) on your bread board

Step 8. now take your 1uf Capacitor from pin 2 ground
Step 9. now can solder 3 wire to your npn transistor and strip the ends of the wire and 2 wire to the + and - of the flyback strip the ends of the wire

Step 10. now take the base of the wire of the npn transistor to the wire we put out way from pin 3

Step 11. now take Emitter wire of the npn transistor and take it to the ground that the black rail (line)

Step 12. now take the Collector and put the wire to a new row on your bread board

Step 13. now take your wire from the flyback and add one them to the row with the Collector wire and put the over one to + red rail (line) on your bread board

Step 14. now take your + and - wires from your battery and put then into the + red rail (line) and - ground that the black rail (line)

Step 15.  that it should spark from your high voltage ground pin take your high voltage + to each of the pins till get nice ark you may what add switch battery + wire between battery and board to be safe remember don't touch the ark or pins with fingers just hold the plastic cover on wire and you be fine


Step 16. (optional) ok got your flyback driver working it use a matter of tidying up your work now can solder it to a Prototype Board and put it in a nice Project Box I also add some Terminal Post so can test over flyback I get to see if they work ok

hope have fun new flyback driver Remember ark are fun and nice to look at but is sill high voltage it want kill you but will really be very painful


FAQ

Q, why ant I get any arks
A, ok I had this my self first check the wires if all ok then replace the 555 chip as it most likely have blow up on you

Q, why am getting small arks
A, ok first thing be is flat battery you need a new one to have the power to run the flyback
also be that the focus and screen on fly turned down turn them to max

Q, why you more thinker arks then me
A, ok I ran of my work top power pack at 9v but was pulling 2 amps in power but should sill get nice ark from a battery if what more amps to pull put 2 or 3 batteries in parallel this let pull more amps and sill keep 9v to power it
